As a Doctor of Health Science, it is my passion to help others beyond the precepts of what is “normal” and “expected” to overcome, to achieve, and to thrive in the face of obstacles, handicaps and stumbling blocks. I have served as a behavioral clinician for over a decade, working with individuals in various settings with physical, psychological, and emotional deficits to achieve the benefits of a self-satisfying lifestyle sustained by subjective well-being and personal development.
My goal is to meet you where you are, and care for the whole you. To provide you with the supports you need to break through barriers to a functional, meaningful, and satisfying life. And to connect you and your loved ones with resources that will enable you with an opportunity to obtain and optimize your health and wellness.
I have over 15 years of experience working with patients diagnosed with psychiatric conditions in acute, long term and community-based settings, as well as in skilled nursing facilities. I bring a great deal of knowledge and expertise with populations that cover the lifespan.
I earned my doctorate degree in Leadership and Organizational Behavior at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. I earned a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Sacred Heart University, and Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation at Temple University.
Among my post-doctorate accomplishments are presenting at the American Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference and Expo in 2016, and co-authoring a qualitative study of coping in mothers of children with autism spectrum disorder in 2010.
